Famous actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johson has a unique story about the first car he bought. When he was a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast some time ago, the actor from the film Black Adam admitted that he bought his first car at the age of 15.
What’s unique is that he bought the car at a very cheap price, namely USD 80 or around Rp. 1.2 million. “I bought it from someone who was very drunk at a club,” The Rock recalled.
He said that at that time the drunk man suddenly offered many people a 1977 Ford Thunderbird at an unreasonable price. Many club visitors actually ignored the offer.
On the other hand, The Rock was really interested in this crazy offer. Moreover, at that time he did not have a vehicle.
“After leaving Hawaii, I didn’t have a permanent place to live or a vehicle. Why not just take the offer,” recalled The Rock.
At that time, The Rock admitted that he only had USD 40. But he ended up borrowing money from his friend so he could buy the car.
After the transaction was completed, The Rock finally wanted to take the car straight away. It’s just that it didn’t take long for him to discover many surprises.
First, he was extremely surprised to find out that in the car there was still a friend of the car salesman who was fast asleep. The man turned out to be really drunk and ended up sleeping in the back seat.
“I finally asked him to get out because the vehicle was already my car,” explained The Rock.
But the surprises don’t stop there. As soon as he was about to fill up with petrol, The Rock realized that the car seller had not given him the key to the petrol tank at all.
As a result, The Rock was really confused about how to fill the car’s gas tank. From there, The Rock finally realized that the car was actually the car that had problems.
He believes the car seller stole the four-wheeled vehicle. That’s why he doesn’t have a complete key and dares to sell it at a very cheap price.
“I just left the car and the money I had immediately went down the drain,” he explained.
