Citroen Indonesia Wants European Cars to Be Affordable to Everyone

Citroen Indonesia wants European cars to be accessible to everyone. They are determined to sell the Citroen C3 Aircross for IDR 2899.9 million.

This was revealed by Tan Kim Piaw, CEO of Citroen Indonesia at the launch of the Citroen C3 Aircross, in the PIK 2 area, Banten, Tuesday (23/4/2024). He said that from the start Citroen’s philosophy was to make cars that were accessible to all levels of society.

From there they then dared to sell the Citroen C3 Aircross for IDR 289.9 million. This price is much cheaper than competitors in the Low SUV segment such as the Honda BR-V, Suzuki XL7, Daihatsu Terios, Toyota Rush and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.

“This is Citroen’s consistency in wanting to provide cars that are accessible to everyone. From the start we wanted to present cars that were affordable,” explained Tan Kim Piaw.

It’s just that the price is considered competitive for a European SUV, Tan Kim Piaw doesn’t have a sales target. For them, currently the most important thing is to provide a special experience for consumers.

“So customers can feel the difference between this French car and existing cars,” said Tan Kim Piaw.

It is known that in terms of specifications, the Citroen C3 Aircross has a mechanical heart that is different from its competitors. The European car sent from India was equipped with a 3-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.2 liters. The engine performance is supported by a turbo so it can produce maximum power of 110 PS and maximum torque of 205 Nm.

This car is also equipped with advanced features such as a headunit with a 10.2 inch touch screen that can connect wirelessly with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering bar is also equipped with a steering switch.

This car is also equipped with several features such as Dual SRS Airbags, Reverse Parking Camera, Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS).
