Citroen E-C3 Electric Car Starts Pre-Order, Prices Under IDR 400 Million

The Indonesian people will have a new choice of affordable electric car, namely the Citroen E-C3. The electric car presented at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) has interesting advantages.

One of them is the price that will be affordable for the people of Indonesia. “We are bringing this electric car as a preview. We plan to hope this car will cost under IDR 400 million,” said Tan Kim Piauw, CEO of Citroen Indonesia at ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, Thursday (10/8/2023).

Even though the status is a preview, Tan Kim Piauw said Citroen Indonesia opened an opportunity for the Indonesian people to place orders for the Citroen E-C3. So during GIIAS 2023 they accept everyone who wants to own the French-flagged electric car.

“We plan to send it next year,” he explained.

It is known that the Citroen E-C3 is an electric car produced at the Citroen factory in Indonesia. This condition makes the price of the Citroen E-C3 electric car not too expensive if it is sold in Indonesia.

Especially now that the choice of electric cars in the country, which cost under Rp. 500 million, is still very limited.

“The battery’s mileage reaches 320 kilometers,” said Tan Kim Piauw.

In terms of the specifications of the electric car, the Citroen E-C3 is a very interesting choice. The advantages of the Citroen E-C3 are not only that it is affordable but also has modern features such as a 10-inch touch screen head unit that can be connected to a smartphone.

Regarding the long dimensions, this Citroen C3 EV electric car reaches 3,981 mm, 1,733 mm wide and 1,604 mm high. Meanwhile, the wheelbase is 2,540 mm. Then for the legs, use size 195/65 R15 tires.

When compared to the Wuling Air EV, of course the body of the Citroen E-C3 is bigger. So, this Citroen electric car will feel more like a real car, the interior is also more spacious.

Citroen E-C3 is also equipped with an electric motor which is located at the front. It is said that the power can reach 57 hp or 43 kW, and peak torque reaches 143 Nm. Furthermore, for acceleration from 0-60 km/h, it is possible to achieve it in 6.8 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 107 km/h.

The battery uses a capacity of 29.2 kWh with a maximum distance of 320 kilometers in full condition. Speaking of battery charging, this Citroen electric car can use 3.3 kW of onboard AC power and can also use DC fast charging.
