Electric cars made in China are believed to be able to sabotage the country. This can happen because Chinese cars can be controlled remotely.
The remote control system was actually a disaster because China could have turned off the electric cars to create chaos. When that happens then chaos can occur in all regions of the world.
This analysis was revealed by Professor Jim Saker, an automotive analyst and researcher from the Institute of the Motor Industry, England, who was quoted by the Telegraph, Wednesday (2/8/2023). Jim Saker said electric cars made in China were like Trojan horses that could wreak havoc if they wanted to.
“The connectivity threat that Chinese electric cars have coming into a country is very serious. Automakers in Shanghai could turn off 100,000 to 300,000 electric cars spread across Europe,” he explained.
He even said it could have happened because of weak supervision. The relevant authorities in a country, according to him, will be in a hurry to check one by one electric cars made in China that have entered European territory.
This analysis was actually agreed upon by the British left-wing politician, Sir Iain Duncan Smith, who said that everything related to China really needed to be monitored.
“Everything related to China is definitely a security threat. We have to stop the technology in their electric cars that can report their location and monitor and listen to what we are doing,” he was quoted as saying by Drive.
On the other hand, Andy Mayer, an analyst from the Institute of Economic Affairs, expressed a different opinion. He said his analysis of the chaos caused by China’s electric cars was just an attempt to scare.
“The possibility could happen but the stakes are too big to do. There is a damaged reputation if it does happen,” said Andy Mayer
