The robot or chatbot conversation application, ChaGPT will soon be installed in your favorite cars. So those of you who are used to using ChatGPT via mobile devices and computers, still won’t lose time with ChatGPT when you are in or driving a car.
The Carsifu website reported on Tuesday (24/10/2023) that ChatGPT will be used for the first time by DS cars made in France. For the experiment, DS opened the opportunity for 20,000 DS car owners to try directly the various advantages of ChatGPT in their cars. As long as the DS car is equipped with the DS Iris System, ChatGPT can be installed directly.
“Currently ChatGPT can be installed on DS 3, DS 4, DS7 and DS 9. As a trial, installation and use will not be charged,” said Carsifu.
Users of these four cars also don’t need to bother coming to the DS after-sales service network to get ChatGPT. They can also get it via the Over the Air (OTA) system.
So are the benefits of ChatGPT the same as the Voice Assistant technology that is already installed in many new cars? Carsifu said its function was much broader.
This is because the ChatGPT function in cars is still the same as that on cellphones and computer devices. So drivers and passengers can utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology according to their wishes.
ChatGPT in the car can even be instructed to read stories to children who are in the car to make them comfortable while traveling. ChatGPT can even be used by car users to provide all information about the various roads they will be traveling on. Likewise with special places that are being passed by car drivers.
Carsifu stated that the DS is not the only car interested in taking advantage of the advantages of ChatGPT. Several other car manufacturers are also planning to do the same.
Mercedes-Benz, for example, has trialled the use of ChatGPT in 900,000 of its cars made in the United States. General Motors is also preparing to do the same by utilizing AI made by Microsoft.
