PT BYD Motor Indonesia held a Handover Ceremony today, marking a significant milestone in Indonesia’s automotive industry, particularly in the EV sector. The symbolic handover of 1,000 BYD units to customers highlights the strong interest and trust Indonesians have in BYD’s advanced electrification technology. This special event was attended by the entire top management of BYD, including the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of BYD Company, Wang Chuanfu, the General Manager of the Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, Liu Xueliang, the President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, the entire management team of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, dealer partners, and the customers receiving their BYD units.

The first BYD Handover Ceremony was held at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, specifically at the Indonesia Design District. The series of events began with vehicle inspections accompanied by Sales Advisors who provided detailed explanations about BYD products. The event continued with the symbolic handover of keys to BYD customers and concluded with the Flag Off release of units to customers by Mr. Wang. BYD also prepared special souvenirs for the first BYD customers. Attendees had the opportunity to experience BYD technology firsthand through V2L demos and enjoy the hospitality provided.
Customers are now ready to integrate EV electrification technology into their daily lives and ultimately enjoy the sustainable innovation benefits of BYD for a greener future in Indonesia. Gradual Deliveries to Fulfill All Orders
BYD is working hard to meet the expectations of thousands of customers who have ordered vehicles in Indonesia. The high number of orders exceeds initial projections and demonstrates the strong trust and interest Indonesians have in BYD’s electric vehicles. This indicates that BYD’s reputation is recognized globally.
BYD is also committed to providing regular and planned deliveries of EV units in Indonesia, following the initial handover of 1,000 units. Deliveries will continue gradually as the number of orders for the three BYD EV models increases, reflecting the high customer interest in BYD.
BYD’s promised deliveries to customers have been prepared with a well-thought-out strategy to ensure the smooth reception of units with maintained quality standards. This includes close cooperation with dealer partners in building a reliable distribution infrastructure through 17 networks available across Indonesia.
BYD has also prepared an After Sales Service program, including a customer and warranty package to provide security and peace of mind for customers while driving. For each BYD Dolphin, BYD Atto 3, and BYD Seal unit, BYD offers a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty with a State of Health (SoH) ≥ 70%, and an eight-year or 150,000 km drive unit warranty.
