Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 Film Postponed Due to Hollywood Stike

The filming of the Formula 1 film, played by actor Brad Pitt, had to be postponed due to the demonstrations that took place in Hollywood. Currently, the Hollywood film industry is heating up.

This is because two associations of film people in Hollywood, namely the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (SAG-AFTRA) are boycotting the film industry in Hollywood. The boycott occurred because of minimal payments and Hollywood’s low negotiations with movie streaming service providers.

The boycott continues indefinitely. As a result, all film shooting was affected, including the Formula 1 film played by Brad Pitt.

The NBC site even mentions that Brad Pitt is an influential figure in SAG-AFTRA. So like it or not he had to take part in the boycott.

“Brad may be a top actor, but he is a very loyal union member,” wrote NBC.

GP Blog site also confirmed the delay in filming the Formula 1 film that played by Brad Pitt. After completing filming at the Silverstone Circuit, England, in early July 2023, filming will continue in the Netherlands and Belgium.

It’s just that the ongoing demonstration forced the shooting to be cancelled. The delay has indeed made the schedule of the film, whose title has not been announced, a mess.

The film should have been released in late 2024 or early 2025. However, a prolonged boycott will cause the filming schedule to continue to be delayed.

Previously, the CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, said that the film, which was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, would be a very innovative film in terms of technology and cinema production. “This is also the best way to show that Formula 1 also never stops innovating,” explained Stefano Domenicali.

It is known that big names are behind the Formula 1 film, played by Brad Pitt. British seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is a film sponsor and advisor. Likewise with Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, who will become the provider of the Formula 1 film streaming service.
