The filming of the Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt will begin in conjunction with the Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit, England this weekend. Various preparations have even begun to smoothen the process of filming the film, which is rumored to be titled Apex.
Motorsport Magazine website reports, organizers of the Silverstone Circuit, have created a special garage that will later contain the Formula 1 race car driven by Brad Pitt.
Interestingly, spectators who come to the Silverstone Circuit to see the Formula 1 race will get the opportunity to directly see the filming process. So they will be spoiled by Brad Pitt’s action driving a Formula 1 racing car.
“There are even rumors that the race car made for the film will also parade Formula 1 race cars,” wrote Motorsport Magazine.
It’s just that the Formula 1 racing car that will be driven by Brad Pitt is not a real Formula 1 racing car. The Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 Team, which was appointed to provide a racing car for the sake of the film, admitted to using a different racing car.
So the race car used by Brad Pitt is a Formula 2 race car specially dressed to look like a Formula 1 race car.
“The car was designed by Mercedes-Benz. Even though it will not be used for the actual racing session, Brad Pitt will drive the car for this year,” said Road and Track.
It is planned that the Formula 1 film, starring Brad Pitt, will be released in late 2024 or early 2025. The film production process will begin simultaneously with the schedule for the Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit, England on July 9, 2023.
Previously, the CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, said that the film, which was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, would be a very innovative film in terms of technology and cinema production. “This is also the best way to show that Formula 1 also never stops innovating,” explained Stefano Domenicali.
