Singer Ariel Noah returned to his hometown of Pangkalan Brandan, North Sumatra, on a very special motorcycle, the Harley-Davidson Sportster S. The American-made big bike has a price tag of Rp 600.5 million.
It is known that Ariel Noah was born in Pangkalan Brandan. He spent his childhood in an area famous as one of Indonesia’s oldest oil fields.
It’s no surprise that the opportunity to return to Pangkalan Brandan is a special moment for the vocalist of the band Noah. Especially since he returned home riding such a special big bike.
“Happy to be back even though it was a bit rushed, to the first oil refinery in Indonesia, to the hospital where I was born, even though it has changed functions, to grandma’s house, a complete day today. Just need to escort the others home,” Ariel posted on his Instagram account @arielnoah.
Ariel Noah’s presence in Pangkalan Brandan is related to his touring activities with a group of other celebrities, namely Gading Marten, Desta, and Raffi Ahmad. The four of them are on a tour titled The Dudas Minus One.
These four celebrities are touring on their flagship big bikes. Coincidentally, Ariel Noah is riding a Harley-Davidson Sportster S, which costs Rp 600.5 million.
True to its price, the Harley-Davidson Sportster S is indeed special. This big bike is no longer the same as the previous Sportster family.
Now the Harley-Davidson Sportster S looks very modern and sportier. Its side view looks busier because of its transverse exhaust design. Besides the striking exhaust, the tank and tail design of this big bike also create a new characteristic.
The sporty aura is strong thanks to the rear shape of the bike, which does not provide space for a passenger, known as a single-seater. Harley-Davidson claims that the Sportster S model is inspired by the classic Harley-Davidson FX750 tracker style.
Besides the fresh design, the Harley-Davidson has also embedded a new engine for this bike. The 1,250cc engine, configured in Harley-Davidson’s signature V-Twin, is dubbed the Revolution Max 1250T. This engine is claimed to produce 121 horsepower and 127 Nm of torque.
Not only is the engine new, but because the Harley-Davidson Sportster S is ‘all-new’ and a new generation created by Harley-Davidson, the chassis it uses is also different from previous Harley-Davidson big bikes.
The Harley-Davidson Sportster S is very modern thanks to the advanced features Harley has embedded in this bike. One of them is the riding mode, which can be selected according to the riding conditions. There are sport, road, and rain modes.
In addition to riding modes, the Harley-Davidson Sportster S also comes with a 4-inch TFT instrument cluster screen that can be connected to other devices via Bluetooth. However, despite its modern touches, Harley still uses a circular dial to retain its classic aura.
Safety and security features are also present in this new Harley-Davidson bike. From cornering ABS, cornering traction control, to cornering drag-torque slip control, these features make this bike suitable for new Harley-Davidson users.
