Almost IDR2 billion, KIA EV9 GT Sold 71 Units att GIIAS 2023

The KIA EV9 GT Line premium electric car, which was presented for the first time at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) on 10-20 August 2023, has sold 71 units. This achievement is quite fantastic considering the price of the six-seat electric car from South Korea is IDR 1.975 billion.

This sales record even surpasses the KIA electric car that was previously marketed by PT Kreta Indo Artha (KIA), namely the KIA EV6. It is known that at the same event the KIA EV6 GT Line sold 20 units, while the KIA EV6 GT was ordered by 24 people.

“With the KIA EV9 GT-Line and KIA EV6 GT being shown at GIIAS 2023, it really helps to raise not only the image of the KIA brand but also significant SPK figures. We hope this positive trend will continue until the end of the year,” said Utama. Kovara, Head of Sales at PT KIA.

So overall PT KIA managed to sell 115 units of electric cars. According to them, this achievement further strengthens PT KIA’s commitment to supporting government programs related to electrification of vehicles. Especially in presenting various choices of electric cars according to the wishes and needs of the Indonesian people.

Meanwhile, in the same event, PT KIA managed to sell 556 units of cars bearing the KIA logo. In addition to 115 electric cars, they also managed to sell 441 units of cars with internal combustion engines.

Of all sales, KIA a Sonet managed to become the most ordered during GIIAS 2023 with a total SPK of 159 units. This also further emphasizes the important role of the KIA Sonet as the backbone of Kia’s sales in Indonesia.

Furthermore, KIA Carens succeeded in becoming the second contributor with an SPK figure of 153 units with the contribution of the 6-seater KIA Carens totaling 79 units and the 7-seater KIA Carens 74 units. Followed by the best-selling KIA Grand Carnival ordered by 73 units, then KIA Seltos with 56 units.

“We are very grateful for the results achieved by Kia in GIIAS 2023, where we also see that electric vehicles have become the choice of Indonesian consumers. Therefore, Kia will always present the best choice of vehicles, especially electric vehicles, for Indonesian consumers,” concluded Andrew Nasuri, President Director of PT KIA.
