These are the 2 Most Needed ADAS Features for Drivers According to Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi believes that there are two Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) features that are most needed and crucial for car drivers. According to Setiawan Jaya, Product Planning PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), these two ADAS features were identified through surveys and monitoring of their customers’ driving styles in Indonesia.

The two features are Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These ADAS features are most beneficial given the road conditions in Indonesia.

“These two features are available in the Mitsubishi XForce and are currently the most needed by all drivers,” explained Setiawan Jaya on Friday (26/7/2024).

He explained that Blind Spot Monitoring greatly helps drivers to be aware of other vehicles on the road. This ADAS feature will inform the presence of other vehicles that are not visible due to blind spots.

“This feature is often ignored but it turns out to be very helpful,” he explained.

Besides Blind Spot Monitoring, another ADAS feature is Rear Cross Traffic Alert. This feature is very helpful for drivers when reversing out of a parking spot. Rear Cross Traffic Alert can provide information to the driver if another vehicle or road user suddenly passes behind the car.

“The car will automatically brake,” he explained.

At the same event, Adi Trihatmoko, Technical Support and CS PT MMKSI, mentioned that apart from these two ADAS features, there is another feature that helps drivers to be aware of their car’s condition. This feature is even ideal for female drivers.

“It’s called Tire Pressure Monitor. Drivers can see if the tires are in the proper condition or not,” he explained.

He said that this feature is very ideal for female drivers who may not be able to respond to the car’s condition.

“For instance, if the car has a flat tire, they may not be able to feel it. This feature is also available in the Mitsubishi XForce,” he explained.
