The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, set to be held from July 18-28, 2024, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, will showcase not only the latest cars but also an impressive array of two-wheeled vehicles. A total of 55 automotive brands will participate in Indonesia’s largest automotive exhibition, including 31 passenger vehicle brands, four commercial vehicle brands, and 21 motorcycle brands, both conventional and electric.
According to Gaikindo Chairman and GIIAS 2024 Organizer Rizwan Alamsjah, “The number of vehicles displayed at GIIAS this year is the highest in the last nine years.”
Unfortunately, it cannot be denied that the two-wheeled automotive industry at GIIAS often takes a backseat. Many people are more interested in seeing cars than new motorcycles.
However, the two-wheeled automotive industry in the country is much larger than the four-wheeled industry. It’s just that the prestige of two-wheelers seems to be far below that of four-wheelers.
Nevertheless, the list of new motorcycles that will be presented at GIIAS 2024 is too good to miss. Here is the list:
Harley-Davidson
Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival: This large motorcycle will be sold in limited quantities as a special icon of Harley-Davidson, with an estimated starting price of around IDR 900 million.
Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield Himalayan 2024: Released at the EICMA 2023 event.
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: Customized to be different from similar motorcycles.
