The trend of torturing Tesla Cybertrucks on social media has caught the attention of one of Tesla’s top executives. One of Tesla’s designers and engineers, Wes Morrill, quoted by Autoblog on Saturday (March 16, 2024), called for an end to the experiments torturing Tesla Cybertrucks.
He understands that many people are currently intrigued by the claimed bulletproof and durable body of the Tesla Cybertruck. However, according to him, this does not mean that everyone should experiment with damaging the Tesla Cybertruck’s body.
“The Cybertruck has undergone a life full of torture. It’s been hit, kicked, burned, and shot (multiple times),” Wes Morrill wrote via his X account.
“Now let’s stop because we know this car is tough,” he continued.
However, according to Autoblog, the trend emerged as a response from Tesla. It is known that Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed that the car is very suitable as a doomsday vehicle because it is not easily destroyed.
When presenting the electric pickup truck, Elon Musk even asked some people to damage it using iron balls, arrows, and even firearms.
“No bullet can penetrate the passenger compartment,” wrote Elon Musk on his X account.
As a result, the Tesla Cybertruck indeed proved to be capable of withstanding all these attacks. Unfortunately, this has only made many people curious to do the same to their Tesla Cybertrucks. They even recorded the process for social media purposes.
