Mitsubishi Thailand will finally soon unveil the Low MPV car that most people are curious about, namely the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle). Not only that, they will also present a hybrid version of the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross. The launch will take place on February 1, 2024 next week.
This was revealed through a teaser released by Mitsubishi Thailand on their official Facebook account, Thursday (25/1/2024) yesterday.
“The first time the New Xpander HEV and New Xpander Cross HEV appear as hybrid family cars with seven passenger seats,” wrote Mitsubishi Motors Thailand.
Later, the launch of the two hybrid cars from Mitsubishi will be broadcast live at 09.30 am via Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s YouTube and Facebook Live accounts.
The launch of the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross HEV in Thailand is indeed a unique thing for the Indonesian people. This is because Mitsubishi’s flagship car was launched for the first time globally in Indonesia.
Not to mention the fact that the Mitsubishi Xpander and Mitsubishi Xpander Cross are very well absorbed in Indonesia. Sales in Indonesia are actually the highest in the Southeast Asia region.
Previously, President Director of Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) Atsushi Kurita revealed why the Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid was finally produced and launched in Thailand. According to him, Mitsubishi Thailand has been helped by environmentally friendly car regulations in the white elephant country, including subsidies for the production of hybrid cars.
According to Atsushi Kurita, the electrification industry regulations that apply in Thailand for hybrid cars make this model more affordable than in Indonesia. Kurita did not explain the price details for the Xpander hybrid.
“The price of hybrid cars there is even much cheaper than conventional cars,” said Atsushi Kurita.
