The new Hyundai Creta finally officially appeared in India, Tuesday (16/1/2024). The compact SUV with a South Korean passport comes in seven variants and three engine choices.
When it was launched, Hyundai India announced that the price of would start from 1,099,900 Rupees or the equivalent of Rp. 206.3 million to 2,014,900 Rupees or around Rp. 378 million. The seven variants of the new Indian version of the Hyundai Creta are E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech and SX (O). For engine choices, the Hyundai Creta now has two new engines apart from the 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine, namely a 1.5 liter turbo four cylinder and a 1.5 liter four cylinder diesel.
“The price of this car is 13,000 Rupees (Rp. 2.4 million) more expensive than the previous generation Hyundai Creta,” wrote Autocar, Wednesday (17/1/2024).
Despite the price increase, it offers many interesting changes. The part that stands out the most is the exterior design which now has a new design.
The front grille of the Hyundai Creta is now more sturdy. Likewise with the more modern LED headlights and DRL. You could say that the front appearance is similar to the large SUV Hyundai Palisade.
The interior changes are also very luxurious thanks to the new dashboard design which is equipped with a 10.25 inch screen. Hyundai claims that this screen can provide many interesting entertainment features.
In total there are six airbags that serve as safety for passengers. Apart from that, the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) safety feature has reached level 2. A total of 19 ADAS features can be found.
“Hyundai is confident that this new car will further strengthen the dominance of the Hyundai Creta in the compact SUV segment in India. Previously five Hyundai Cretas were sold every minute in India,” explained Autocar.
