There is interesting news from the Wuling BinguoEV, the newest electric car from Wuling Motors. Recently, the verification agency in Indonesia, PT Surveyor Indonesia, announced the results of testing the local content of the new electric car.
The result is that local content from this car reached 47.5 percent. This means that this car is entitled to receive VAT incentives for electric cars from the government.
Dian Asmahani, Sales and Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, said that the achievement of 47.5 percent local content in the car is proof of their commitment to supporting the national automotive industry. He was also very happy because the Wuling Binguo EV was one of the electric vehicles produced in Indonesia that met the requirements for VAT incentives.
“Through this step, Wuling continues to be committed to the spirit of Drive For A Green Life to make innovation and sustainability go hand in hand for a greener Indonesia,” explained Dian Asmahani.
Simultaneously with the announcement of local content achieved by the Wuling Binguo EV, the Chinese car company also announced the presence of a new variant of the Wuling Binguo EV Long Range AC. This variant complements the two previous variants, namely Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC DC and Wuling BinguoEV Premium Range AC DC.
The local content achievement of 47.5 percent is very interesting. This is because the electric car will later receive VAT incentives from the government which will affect the selling price of the electric car.
After the incentives are given, the Wuling BinguoEV Premium Range AC DC, which originally cost IDR 408 million, can drop to IDR 372 million. Meanwhile, the Wuling BinguoEV Long Range AC DC, whose initial price was IDR 358 million, will change to IDR 326 million.
The new Wuling BinguoEV AC variant, which costs IDR 348 million, becomes IDR 317 million.
