Mitsubishi’s New SUV Has Lancer Evolution Technology

Mitsubishi’s new SUV turns out to have the technology found in the legendary Mitsubishi Evolution car. Mitsubishi believes this technology will make the new SUV a lot more fun to drive.

Seiji Watanabe, Division GM of Design Mitsubishi Motor Corporation (MMC) said the technology is Active Yaw Control (AYC). This technology makes Mitsubishi’s new SUV far different from its competitors.

“This helps the driver to provide better driving pleasure. Especially on slippery roads,” said Seiji Watanabe.

On the official website of Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) it is stated that AYC is a tiered security system. AYC can improve cornering performance by adjusting the braking force on the front wheels to optimize vehicle stability when maneuvering quickly or on slippery roads.

Apart from AYC, Seiji Watanabe said that the driving mode in Mitsubishi’s new SUV is also a differentiating factor. He said there were four driving modes in Mitsubishi’s new SUV. The four driving modes will adjust to the road conditions being traversed.

“There are gravel, mud, wet, and normal. Actually, there is a lot of technology in this new SUV, but we will explain later,” he said.

It is known that PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) has only physically launched the new SUV. Details on variants, technology, features, prices and specifications will be announced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2023 (GIIAS) on 10 August 2023.
