Cheap Malaysian Cars Rp. 70 Million Directly Sold Out in 2 Days

It took Perodua only two days to sell their cheap car which cost up to 22,000 Ringgit or the equivalent of Rp. 70 million, Perodua Axia E. As many as 2,500 units of Perodua Axia E were immediately sent to neighbors who had made purchases some time ago.

For Perodua, the sales achievement was extraordinary. The reason is they are implementing a quota scheme for selling cheap cars from Perodua. For the first stage, they only provide 2,500 units of Perodua Axia E.

As soon as it was officially sold, they were actually surprised because the sales quota was immediately cleared out by the people of Malaysia. The Wapcar site said the car was selling well because the price was much cheaper than motorbikes.

Even the installment scheme offered is much lighter than buying a motorbike on credit in Malaysia.

“Perodua Axia E’s monthly installments start from 300 Ringgit (Rp. 970,200) to 400 Ringgit (Rp. 1.2 million) per month,” wrote Wapcar.

It’s just that there is a price there is a way. Perodua Axia E can be said to lack features and technology. Launching Perodua’s official website, Axia E is marketed at a very low price because it targets those with low incomes.

Based on the old Perodua Axia or Daihatsu Ayla, this car also has ASEAN NCAP certification with a four-star rating. Seeing the low price, it’s interesting to see the specifications.

As for dimensions, the Perodua Axia E is 3,640 mm long, 1,620 mm wide and 1,510 mm high. This car has a net weight of 825 kg, with a trunk capacity of 260 liters or 5 liters less than the latest Daihatsu Ayla variant.

While the wheelbase is 2,455 mm with a turning radius of 4.5 meters. In terms of features, not much is offered by the Perodua Axia E because the price is very cheap. However, this car is equipped with Electric Power Steering (EPS), it’s just that it still uses tin wheels with a diameter of 14 inches.

The mirror settings are also still manual, but the main lights are already using a projector. In fact, there are no audio features, speakers, and buttons on the steering wheel, which the owner has to add himself. Security features are also standard, namely dual SRS airbags and ISOFIX with Top Teather.
Perodua Axia E is not equipped with other safety devices, such as ABS. EBD, BS, VSX, Traction Control, Emergency Stop Signal and Hill Start Assists. Meanwhile, for the kitchen spur, Perodua Axia E already uses the latest version or the same as the class above.

This car is equipped with a 998 cc 1KR-VE DOHC 3-cylinder engine, 12 valves, Electronic Fuel Injection with VVT-i. This machine can churn out 50 kW (67 hp) of power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 91 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
