Super Cars Made by the Taliban Have Funding Difficulties to Join the Motor Show

A startup from Afghanistan, Entop, is trying hard to make their super car, Mada 9, more known to the world. One of the ways is by appearing at world-class automotive exhibitions.

In a video that was recently distributed by Entop, Entop’s CEO, Mohammad Riza Ahmadi said that the Qatar 22023 Geneva International Motor Show in October 2023 was the right event. Through this event, he hopes that the world community can see first-hand the super cars made by the country currently controlled by the Taliban.

Unfortunately, he admitted that there were many obstacles that made it difficult for them to come to the Qatar 2023 Geneval International Motor Show. One of the crucial issues is funding.

“To become a participant, USD 33,000 (Rp. 491 million) is needed. A figure that is difficult for us to get at this time,” he explained on his YoTube Entop channel account.

Not only that, he also said that currently it is difficult to get investors in Afghanistan. Because the country’s economy is still moving. So he really understands that many entrepreneurs are not yet interested in supporting Entop to make super cars.

It’s just that, according to him, Mada 9 is proof that Afghanistan is not left behind from other countries. Afghan people can also make super cars.

It was from there that he tried to open a fundraiser so he could bring the Afghan super car to the Qatar 2023 Geneva International Motor Show.

The amount donated was also not specified. According to him everyone can contribute as much as they can.

Recently, through the same YouTube account, a video was shown where an Afghan child in the United States named Belal Yosufzay donated USD 95 or the equivalent of Rp. 1.4 million to Entop.

“I like super cars and I heard that you are short of money to bring your car to Qatar. I am sending this money to help because I like your car. You are not alone,” said Belal Yosufzay.

Previously Mohmammad Riza Ahmadi CEO of ENTOP told TOLO he hoped Mada 9 could inspire the people of Afghanistan to continue to innovate and be creative. Apart from that, he wants Mada 9 to be able to erase the negative stigma that has been given to Afghanistan so far. Especially when the Taliban returned to power.

“This adventure will start in Afghanistan and later it could go international,” said Mohammad Riza Ahmadi.
