MG Motor Indonesia has finally officially released the price of the MG 4 EV electric car in the Kelapa Gading area, East Jakarta, Wednesday (14/6/2023). Fully imported electric crossovers are sold at prices starting at IDR 649.9 million.
Arief Syarifudin, Marketing and PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia, said that the presence of the MG 4 EV electric car was one of MG Motor Indonesia’s efforts to support the electrification program in Indonesia. He said the announcement of the MG 4 EV price would be good news for the Indonesian people who really want to make a big contribution to the environment.
“This electric car was launched for the first time in February 2023. During that time, we have provided illustrations and education to the public regarding the use of our electric cars through roadshows,” said Arief Syarifudin.
Meanwhile, Donny Septianto Kurniawan, Country Director of MG Motor Indonesia, said that Indomenrdias was a sexy market. Not only for electric cars but also conventional cars. it’s just that electric cars are experiencing rapid development at this time in Indonesia.
“We see that more and more electric cars are growing here. The players will not be one or two but will continue to grow,” he explained.
He said MG had a long record in the automotive world. Included in the affairs of electric cars. According to him, MG has produced more than 300,000 electric cars so far.
It is known that the MG 4 EV is claimed to be the only electric car that uses Rear Wheel Drive technology, where the RWD power is very capable of up to 125 kW. With this much power, the MG4 EV is said to be able to travel from 0-100 kilometers per hour in just 7.7 seconds.
This car is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phospate battery which has a capacity of up to 51 kWh. The battery can be used for a maximum distance of 425 km. The MG 4 EV battery is also claimed to be very thin, only about 110 mm or thinner than a canned drink which has a height of 123 mm.
The presence of the MG 4 EV electric car has further enlivened the electric car segment in the country. Before the MG 4 EV, currently there are electric cars with a very diverse range such as Wuling Air EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Toyota bZ4X, KIA EV6, BMW iX, BMW i4, Nissan Leaf, Mercedes-Benz EQS, Mini E, Lexus UX 300e , Porsche Taycan, and Renault Megane E-Tech.
Apart from that, there are also several light commercial cars powered by electricity, such as the Esemka Bima EV and Gelora DFSK EV.
