PT Honda Prospect Motor recorded sales of 1,992 units during the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) which took place from 10-20 August 2023 at ICE, BSD. In an official statement, Tuesday (22/8/2023), it was stated that Honda’s highest sales at this year’s GIIAS were won by the New Honda Brio and followed by the All New Honda CR-V.
The New Honda Brio is again the model with Honda’s highest sales, namely 485 units or 24 percent of Honda’s total sales at the GIIAS event. But what’s more special, the All New Honda CR-V, the flagship SUV that Honda just launched at the GIIAS event, is also the biggest contributor this year.
At the GIIAS event this time, the All New Honda CR-V collected sales of 385 units or 19 percent of Honda’s total sales. Launched on August 10 2023, the All New Honda CR-V is one of the models most visited by visitors at the Honda booth throughout this year’s GIIAS.
Apart from the Honda Brio and the All New Honda CR-V, most of Honda’s sales at the GIIAS this year were contributed by products in the SUV segment. One of Honda’s favorite products in this segment, namely the Honda HR-V contributed sales of 365 units, then the Honda BR-V contributed sales of 340 units and the Honda WR-V of 325 units.
All of these sales figures are orders made at the Honda booth during GIIAS 2023 and have fulfilled administrative procedures with a booking fee.
Yusak Billy as Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor said he was pleased with Honda’s achievements at the GIIAS 2023 event. He said the public responded positively to Honda’s cars, including the SUV range which has the latest product line, the All New Honda CR-V.
“Our newest product, namely the All New Honda CR-V was immediately welcomed by consumers, while other products such as the All New Honda HR-V, BR-V and WR-V recorded increased sales compared to the previous year. We hope to achieve sales at GIIAS. this year is refreshing the market again and triggering a positive trend for automotive sales this year,” he said.
